She was graduated with an MBBS degree from Vinayaka Mission Kirupanandha Variyar Medical College, Salem. She did her post graduation (MD) in Radiotherapy from one of the Pioneer Institute in Oncology i.e., Cancer Institute (WIA) Adayar. She is the only Lady Radiation Oncologist in entire South Tamilnadu to have expertise and experience in modern radiotherapeutic techniques like IGRT, IMRT, Brachytherapy techniques. She has presented various papers in AROI TN & Pondicherry chapters to her credits and also been awarded the Best Paper Award. Now she is working as HOD I/C and Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology with the Regional Cancer Centre attached to Madurai Medical College and Govt. Rajaji Hospital, Madurai.
